The Singapore Airshow 2026 officially opened at the Changi Exhibition Centre in Singapore, marking the tenth edition of one of the world’s most influential aerospace and defence events. The biennial showcase, running from 3–8 February, has drawn industry leaders, government delegations, military officials and defence innovators from across the globe to a packed programme of exhibitions, flying displays, trade forums and high-level strategic discussions.
Organised by Experia Events Pte, the 2026 edition celebrates 20 years of shaping the aerospace, defence and space landscape. The event plays a pivotal role as a gateway to Asia-Pacific’s dynamic markets, providing a platform for collaboration on future technologies, trade partnerships and operational capabilities.
Regional Security Challenges
At this year’s opening reception, government officials and defence leaders underscored the event’s importance amid evolving regional security challenges and rapid technological change. The Airshow sets the stage for critical discussions across aviation, defence, space and dual-use sectors, aligning industry strategy with emerging geopolitical and economic realities.
More than 1,000 companies from over 50 countries are participating, representing a full spectrum of defence and aerospace capabilities from established primes to innovative start-ups. Exhibitors include major systems integrators, aircraft manufacturers and next-generation technology developers specialising in areas such as autonomous systems, advanced materials, cybersecurity, space technologies and unmanned platforms.
Defence contractors have already been active on the show floor and in press briefings. Embraer highlighted growing opportunities in the Asia-Pacific market for its C-390 Millennium transport and Super Tucano light attack aircraft, signalling continued regional demand for flexible airlift and training platforms. Meanwhile, Boeing Defence, Space & Security outlined a forecast of up to US$65 billion in addressable regional defence and services market potential, even as it steps back from certain fighter campaigns.
Cutting Edge Military Innovations
On display throughout the event will be a blend of cutting-edge military aviation assets, industry exhibits, and aerial demonstrations featured during trade days. The show also offers strategic forums, hosted buyer programmes and curated meetings designed to deepen industry connections and accelerate procurement pathways.
Beyond pure defence interests, the Singapore Airshow continues to broaden its scope: a Space Summit alongside the main event reflects expanding civil-military space partnerships, and the weekend air show invites public engagement with flying displays and static aircraft exhibits.
