Terma A/S has completed the acquisition of OSL Technology, a UK specialist in counter-drone security and intelligent surveillance solutions.
The move represents a significant advance in Terma’s strategy to deliver a market-leading Counter-Unmanned Aircraft Systems (C-UAS) and critical-infrastructure protection portfolio for civilian and defence customers worldwide.
OSL has established itself as a trusted provider of counter-drone and airspace security systems in the civil domain, supporting major airports and national-infrastructure sites in detecting, tracking, and managing drones in complex operational environments.
Terma, with decades of experience in defence-grade radar, command-and-control, and multi-domain situational-awareness systems, brings deep expertise from naval, air-defence, and critical-asset protection programmes.
The combined organisation unites civil and defence practices into a single, end-to-end C-UAS solution capable of detecting, tracking, classifying, deciding, and responding to threats within seconds. By integrating Terma’s sensor and command-and-control heritage with OSL’s full-stack counter-drone suite and operational experience, the partnership enables continuous coverage across sea, air, and land in an open, modular ecosystem. The system supports third-party sensors and effectors, delivering a unified operational picture suited to both tactical and strategic requirements.
Henriette H. Thygesen, CEO of Terma, said: “OSL’s operational performance from years of protecting critical infrastructure at Heathrow and other major sites shows it delivers where it matters most. Paired with Terma’s multi-domain capacity, built on decades of delivering situational awareness and defence-grade command-and-control, and further informed by partnerships in Ukraine, we now offer one of the most comprehensive C-UAS suites on the market, helping to set a higher standard for protecting people, airspace, and critical infrastructure. This is not only about Denmark here and now; it delivers a strong, comprehensive C-UAS solution that can contribute to European flagship projects such as the proposed EU drone initiative.”
For airports, critical-infrastructure operators, and defence users, the integrated offering provides a single C-UAS picture with rapid deployment and immediate operational impact.
Mark Legh-Smith, CEO of OSL, added: “Joining Terma is an extraordinary opportunity for OSL and our customers. Terma’s multi-domain expertise together with our C-UAS platform and agility create unmatched depth of capability from sensor to decision to response. It means faster detection, smarter classification, and precisely coordinated action. It is the perfect combination of innovation and assurance.”
Terma and OSL will deliver scalable C-UAS and critical-infrastructure protection solutions worldwide, combining OSL’s operational pedigree with Terma’s global reach and technology base.
