BAE Systems and Barzan Holdings Sign Agreement on Collaboration

BAE Systems and Qatar based Barzan Holdings have signed an MoU to explore collaboration in future defence technologies.

The MoU was signed at DIMDEX in Qatar and will see both companies seek to bring their collective expertise to support Qatar’s long-term security and prosperity.

“Barzan Holdings plays a significant role in supporting Qatar’s defence and security objectives and we’re excited about the potential of this collaboration. By bringing together Barzan’s innovative technologies with our expertise in development, manufacturing and electronic systems, we’re collectively focused on progressing technology that aims to contribute to the prosperity and security of Qatar,” said Adam Watson, Regional Managing Director for the Middle East, Türkiye and North Africa, BAE Systems.

Technology Collaboration

The MoU covers multiple areas of potential technology collaboration, including autonomous systems, energetics and counter uncrewed air systems (C-UAS) solutions.

BAE Systems partners with governments, industry peers and companies large and small to design, build and maintain advanced defence and security solutions, including in the Middle East where it has had a presence for more than 60 years.

Barzan Holdings is a leading defence and security company that aims to strengthen Qatar’s sovereignty and strategic position by investing in the long-term development of its human capital and armed forces capabilities.
